EXHIBITION

Talk Back explores the misrepresentation of Indigenous people in Australian online, print and radio media, through critique and criticism by five Indigenous Australian artists. These artists will use photography, drawing, sound and video to re-contextualise the portrayal of Indigenous people in Australia.

 ABOUT VISUAL BULK

Visual Bulk is a not-for-profit art space dedicated to exhibiting emerging local and interstate artists in Hobart, Tasmania. Established in late 2015 by artists and co-directors Theia Connell and Grace Herbert, Visual Bulk supports critical and non-commercial arts practices through hosting curated exhibitions, residencies, performance, music, lectures and markets. Visual Bulk relies on self-governance, community funding and flexibility as stalwarts of the experimental model to which it adheres, keeping the space open to new modes of exhibition and audience engagement.
