EXHIBITION

Frontyard invites visitors to Hobiennale to participate in, and contribute to, a series of open conversations and making sessions for Conversation Piece. This experimental dialog-producing project will result in the publication of a speed book, made for and during the festival. Conversation Piece relies on images from Frontyard’s online Flickr archive as visual triggers for the project, and will take a different form each day. Join a daily ritual of making, walking, cooking, and sharing with Ali, Connie & Julia from Frontyard and help critique concepts of time, economy, social life and value systems. Three days of conversations will culminate in a potluck dinner hosted by Frontyard alongside the book launch.

 ABOUT FRONTYARD

Frontyard is a Not-Only-Artist Run Initiative that currently takes the form of a pro-active, flexible space for practical skills-sharing, community cultural engagement and critical research. Our aim is to challenge, facilitate and nurture collaborations between passionate people and to build a more resilient and sustainable creative community for the future. Frontyard has a composite nature of critical, practical and analytical tools from film making, journalism, agriculture, music making, sound making, publishing, art and design, activism, accounting and teaching, to name a few. Frontyard enables its members to share skills, knowledge and responsibilities.
